Facilities
Here at Saltwater Lodge, there are various facilities that are available to all guests. They are free to use for all guests and can be accessed through the reception.
We have several bikes available to speed up trips into the town as well as to allow you to explore the area around Paihia in your own way. Should you arrive with your own bike there is an area where you can lock it and we also provide a parking lot for your car. In the local area, there is a tennis court which we provide racquets and balls for our guests to be able to play and inside our complex there is a games room with a dartboard and table tennis table with bats and balls provided.
Our common area is a place provided for all our guests to come and relax or to meet the other guests. We have a large number of comfy sofas for guests to relax on and a TV with a range of films that can be watched by anyone. There are tables provided for dining at, should you not desire to eat out on the decking area and two booths with computers available for browsing the internet as well.
The kitchen is a space provided to all guests who are asked to maintain and look after it throughout their stay. It is cleaned by our experienced cleaning staff at the start of each day to ensure the high standards of cleanliness are maintained. We provide microwaves, kettles, cookers and toasters along with a variety of other cooking implements. Cutlery, cooking utensils and dishes are also provided for guests use along with the materials required to clean them. We also have several fridges and dry storage for holding guests food while they enjoy their stay with us. Out on the deck we also provide a gas powered BBQ for guests use.
There are currently two available washing machines for guests to wash their own clothes and two drying machines. We provide washing powder from the reception at a small cost and there are plenty of drying space available throughout the hostel.
